A. In order for RM43 to be most effective, mow down weeds and brush taller than 6 inches. Once you mow, remove debris and allow 2 weeks for new growth on weeds and full leaf formation on woody vines or brush. Be sure to check the label’s “When to Use” section for all the application details.

A. It’s recommended to mix 7.4 ounces of RM43 with 1–10 gallons of water. This will cover 1,000 square feet, which is about the size of 10 parking spaces or a 4-car garage. Be sure to check the label for complete details. For spot weed control, mix 6 ounces of RM43 with 1 gallon of water.

A. RM43 is available in three sizes. Here’s a handy reference of how much each container covers:

• 1 quart – covers 4,324 square feet
• 1 gallon – covers 17,300 square feet
• 2.5 gallon – covers 43,243 square feet

A. We recommend contacting your county extension office and having the agricultural agent visit to help you identify the weeds you would like to eliminate. The agent also will be able to provide you with a list of weeds that are common in your area. To find the weeds and vines controlled by RM43, check the label.

A. A maximum of 2.5 gallons per acre per year can be applied.

A. Generally, you will start to see results in 2 or 3 days. Total plant elimination will take longer and depends on the type of weeds present and the weather conditions, particularly temperature. RM43 has been proven to work faster in warmer weather.

A. You need to apply RM43 on a sunny day with temperatures above 60 °F. Also, make sure the wind speed is under 10 mph.

A. RM43 is rainfast as soon as it is dry, generally within 2 hours.

A. RM43 effectively controls weeds in gravel areas.

You can use RM43 to spray fencerows in grazed pastures, but remove livestock before spraying and do not turn them back into the pasture until the product is thoroughly dried on the sprayed area, generally 2 hours. Also note, grasses and weeds sprayed in the pasture will be controlled for 12 months, so be sure to spray only where you are trying to control the weeds.

A. You can use either a hand sprayer or an ATV/tractor-mounted sprayer. Be sure to read the label for directions on application rate and cleaning of machinery.

A. RM43 will remain effective in the soil for 12 months after application. If you plan to add paving to your landscaping such as a sidewalk or patio, you can use RM43 where the concrete/asphalt will go to control weeds.

A. Do not apply RM43 over the root systems of trees and shrubs you want to keep. A good rule of thumb is to avoid applying RM43 closer than twice the distance of the longest limb from the trunk.

A. Do not apply RM43 on loose soils that may wash into bodies of water, including fish pools, ponds, lakes and streams.

A. RM43 can be used to eliminate vegetative growth to establish food plots. You will need to wait one year before planting seed desirable for the food plot. If you want to plant immediately after killing the weeds, we recommend using Compare-N-Save 41% Glyphosate.

A. You can use RM43 to control weeds near play equipment. To safely apply, keep people and pets out of the area during application and until the product dries, generally two hours. There are no entry restrictions to sprayed areas once the product has dried.

A. All pets and people should be kept out of the treated area until the solution has dried.

A. The RM43 and FarmWorks 41% Glyphosate Plus containers can be recycled after they are completely emptied and triple rinsed. You can empty any remaining contents into your application equipment and then thoroughly rinse the container, pouring those contents into the application equipment. Be sure to read the label to ensure that you have followed all directions on rinsing the container before placing it into the recycling bin.
